A reflection on the simple work that brings joy, purpose, and connection.
List three jobs you’d consider pursuing if money didn’t matter.
As Life Cultivator, I often pause to think about what I would choose to do if money played no role in my decisions. Three paths come to mind quickly, and each reflects something that I value deeply.
I would gladly serve as a customer service representative. Helping others, listening with patience, and bringing a sense of calm to someone’s day has always been meaningful to me. That human connection, even in small moments, carries great value.
I would also spend more time as a gardener, tending to vegetables, herbs, and fruits. There is something grounding about placing a seed in the soil, nurturing it, and witnessing the process of growth. It teaches patience, hope, and the reward of steady care.
Finally, I would enjoy running a food stand, sharing some of my favorite homemade treats. Food has a way of bringing people together. The simple act of offering something made with care can spark joy, conversation, and community.

These choices may appear simple, but they reveal what matters to me: people, growth, and shared joy. If money did not matter, I would still find meaning in serving, cultivating, and sharing.
“If money did not matter, I would still choose to serve, to cultivate growth, and to share joy—because these are the simple callings that give life true meaning.”
— Garry Moïse
